Tour: Two Robert Mondavi Institute Projects
Friday, March 23, 2018, 12:30 – 3:15 pm
Cost: $39

This tour will highlight two of the innovative projects at the Robert Mondavi Institute located on the UC Davis Campus. Attendees will visit the Sustainable Wine and Food Processing Center, headed by former NASA engineer Jill Brigham, where they will learn about the Center’s research and collaborative work with the private sector to test technologies and develop methods to reduce the consumption of energy and water, and to reduce waste and develop uses for the waste streams that processing facilities create. Attendees will also tour the LEED Platinum Teaching and Research Winery with Dr. Roger Boulton, Professor of Chemical Engineering. This facility is the world’s most environmentally advanced facility for making wine, beer and processed foods. The tour will begin with a box lunch immediately after the conference adjourns on Friday. Afterwards attendees will walk across the street to the Robert Mondavi Institute where the tour will commence.

The tour is limited to 60 people.

Important: You must register for the conference in order to participate on the tour and this tour will take place rain or shine.
